Sweet was the dream
But when the deed was done
The dream was gone
Only my pain would scream

Sweet was your tender voice
Leaving me not choice
Whispering love words to my ear
Telling me:” darling, come near “

What was the name
Of our little game?
I will not play it again
Cos it drove me insane

Sweet was the dream
But when the deed was done
The dream was gone
Only my pain would scream

So sparkling were your eyes
I though they couldn’t tell lies
You told me to not be afraid
You made me blush and go red

What was the name
Of our little game?
I will not play it again
Cos it drove me insane

Sweet was your smile
You said you were shy
Was it the truth or a lie?
However it was worthwhile

Sweet was the dream
But when the deed was done
The dream was gone
Only my pain would scream

Tender were our feelings
Unexpected and new
Crazy as teenage dreams
So wild and so true

What was the name
Of our little game?
I will not play it again
Cos it drove me insane

Suddenly hope and love were set free
Life had a whole new meaning to me
Suddenly life was peaches and candy
But too much happiness killed me

Sweet was the dream
But when the deed was done
The dream was gone
Only my pain would scream

My teenage heart stopped beating
Awaiting for the tragic parting
I could feel myself drowning
When it came to its ending

What was the name
Of our little game?
I will not play it again
Cos it drove me insane

And I’m left here wondering
What the future will bring
Wondering why you left me crying
And if you’re also grieving

Sweet was the dream
But when the deed was done
The dream was gone
Only my pain would scream

Was all we had only a dream?
Was love like an ice cream
Melting out in the sunshine?
When I thought you were mine

What was the name
Of our little game?
I will not play it again
Cos it drove me insane
